Im Rahmen der Verschiebung des Schulhauses Unterheid (Baujahr 1830) ins Freilichtmuseum Ballenberg wurden zwischen 2023 und 2025
Event Details
Im Rahmen der Verschiebung des Schulhauses Unterheid (Baujahr 1830) ins Freilichtmuseum Ballenberg wurden zwischen 2023 und 2025 auf dem «Brandboden» eine Reihe von Kalkbränden durchgeführt. Ziel war es, den für den Wiederaufbau des Schulhauses benötigten Stück- und Sumpfkalk für Mauerwerk und Verputz selber vor Ort herzustellen.
Der Verein kalkwerk nutzte diese wohl einmalige Gelegenheit für eine umfassende Dokumentation der letzten zwei Brände im 2025. Beim letzten Brand, wie bereits beim Brand 2024 im Engadin, wurde der Brennprozess im Inneren des Brennofens durch Walter Caseri und Thomas Schweizer, Materialwissenschafter an der ETH Zürich, temperaturtechnisch erfasst und ausgewertet.
Vorgesehen ist, die gewonnenen Daten und Beobachtungen sowohl miteinander als auch mit den Messresultaten des Engadiner Kalkbrands von 2024 zu vergleichen, als Fachbericht 2026/27 zusammenzuführen und im Heft 2027/4 «Schweizerischer Burgenverein» zu publizieren.
Dafür haben wir von der «Bernischen Denkmalpflege-Stiftung» einen Unterstützungsbeitrag von 5’500 CHF erhalten.
